The American Swimming Coaches Association, or ASCA, is a professional organization for Swimming coaches in the USA. It was founded in 1958 and is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. [1] ASCA provides education opportunities for swimming coaches, including running and participating at clinics both within and outside the US. [2]

[2] Today, the entire 28 miles (45 km) Chicago lakefront shoreline is reclaimed land, and primarily used for public parks. [3] In the parks, there are 24 sand beaches along the shores of freshwater Lake Michigan. [4]
Many Chicagoans have established summer homes in Fox Lake. The village is situated among the Chain O'Lakes, where swimming, boating, jet skiing, tubing and boarding are popular activities. In 2006, there were an estimated 28,000 boats registered on the lake system. [8]
