The Regulator of Social Housing is a non-departmental public body that regulates registered providers of social housing in England. This function was transferred from the Homes and Communities Agency in October 2018. Until April 2012 it was performed by the Tenant Services Authority.

The Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023 (c. 36) is an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom which introduced new measures to improve the standards, safety and operation of social housing. The bill was introduced in the House of Lords on 8 June 2022 and received royal assent on 20 July 2023.
