U.S. Route 377 (US 377) is a 478-mile-long (769 km) north–south United States highway. Originally formed as a short spur to connect Denton, Texas with Fort Worth, Texas , it has since been extended to Oklahoma and Mexico .

The current designation of FM 407 has existed since May 23, 1951; the original routing was solely in Denton County, from FM 156 in Justin westward 2.6 mi (4.2 km). The route was extended to the Wise County line on August 20, 1952, and into Wise County to an intersection with US 81 on October 29, 1953.
On June 27, 1995, the designation of the section east of US 377 to SH 121 was transferred to Urban Road 1171 (UR 1171). On December 18, 2003, the eastern portion, from I-35E to the former route of SH 121 (now Business SH 121), was removed from the state highway system at the request of the City of Lewisville. [ 5 ]
FM 1709 was designated on May 23, 1951 between US 377 and SH 114. An additional section was added on November 25, 1986 to extend the highway westward to I-35W. [ 2 ] The stretch of FM 1709 from US 377 in Keller to SH 114 in Southlake was redesignated as UR 1709 on June 27, 1995, but was redesignated back to FM 1709 on November 15, 2018. [ 1 ]
Its western terminus is at the Interstate 285, Interstate 85 Business (I-85 Bus.), U.S. Route 29 (US 29), US 52, and US 70 interchange (exit 84) in Lexington. Heading in a southern direction, it connects with I-85 , where NC 47 provides a connector between southbound I-85 with northbound I-85 Bus and vice versa.
FM 1187 begins at Interstate 20 (I-20) west of Fort Worth, north of Aledo.The highway runs south to Aledo, where it intersects FM 5.Here, FM 1187 turns to the east. The highway turns back to the south and has a short overlap with U.S. Route 377 (US 377) near Benbrook Lake in the unincorporated community of Wheatland.
State Highway Loop 288 is a state highway in the city of Denton, Texas. The southern portion of the loop has shopping centers, restaurants, and interchanges, while at the north side of the loop, it is rural and turns into a highway, with side streets, and one traffic light for Kings Row. It was constructed in 1955, and was finished in the 1970s.
