Freestyle skiing is a skiing discipline comprising aerials, moguls, cross, half-pipe, slopestyle and big air as part of the Winter Olympics.It can consist of a skier performing aerial flips and spins and can include skiers sliding rails and boxes on their skis.
Alex Ferreira was born in Aspen, Colorado.He grew up attending the Aspen school system, where the Aspen High School mascot is The Skiers. Between the ages of 8 and 18, Ferreira was part of the Aspen Valley Ski Club (AVSC), where he met fellow professional skier Torin Yater-Wallace, ski filmer Kyler Sciarrone, and toy designer Mikey Schumacher.

These include the inrun being at an angle of 25° and 70 metres (230 ft) long, and the landing hill being at an angle of 38° and 25 to 30 metres (82 to 98 ft) long. [ 3 ]

Moguls became an official medal sport at the 1992 games, while aerials and ballet were still demonstration events. The first appearance of freestyle skiing at the Winter Universiade was as an optional sport in the 2005 edition which was held in Innsbruck, Austria. Due to the growing demand, the Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire decided to making it a mandatory sporting starting in 2021 .
