"Radio Ga Ga" is a 1984 song performed and recorded by the British rock band Queen, written by their drummer Roger Taylor. It was released as a single with " I Go Crazy " by Brian May as the B-side. It was included as the opening track on the album The Works and is also featured on the band's compilation albums Greatest Hits II and Classic Queen .
The Works opens with "Radio Ga Ga", written and composed on keyboards by Roger Taylor after he heard his 3-year-old son Felix say "radio ca ca". [7] He wrote it in Los Angeles and locked himself in the studio with a Roland Jupiter 8 and a drum machine. Afterwards John Deacon came up with a suitable bass line.

"Radio Ga Ga" came to inspire synchronized hand-clapping (this routine, originating from the song's video, was the invention of the video's director, David Mallet). This influenced Queen's appearance at Live Aid , where the 72,000-person crowd at Wembley Stadium would sing loudly and clap their hands in unison.
Queen appearance on the live album include the songs "God Save the Queen", "Radio Ga Ga", "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" performed with contribution from various artists. The DVD release also included "Bohemian Rhapsody". [81] 2004 46664: The Event: Various Artists
