After assisting the Autobots in a fight against an army of Unicron's stone avatars, Megatron forms an uneasy alliance with his enemies to defeat Unicron and save the Earth from destruction. The Autobots and Megatron then travel to the Earth's core, planning to send Unicron back into stasis using the Matrix of Leadership.
Predaking (voiced by Peter Mensah) is a Predacon clone created by Shockwave to serve Megatron. Skyquake (voiced by Richard Green) is a Decepticon warrior loyal to Megatron and Dreadwing's twin brother who immediately after his awakening engaged Optimus and Bumblebee in battle and perished until Starscream brought him back to life as a Terrorcon.
Starscream plans to destroy Earth to gather energy from the destruction and make Cybertron his. He sets a timer in Dr. Arkeville's lab. Dr. Arkeville tries to save Earth, but only Decepticons can use their computer. Optimus shoots a blast from Megatron's gun form, making Starscream return to Earth where he is punished by Megatron.
When Megatron seemingly destroyed the AllSpark in the final battle of the war on Earth, the Decepticons found themselves stranded on Earth as the SpaceBridge to Cybertron was destroyed along with it. For his actions Megatron was branded a traitor by many of his former soldiers such as Shockwave and Soundwave.
Megatron gets a better sword that does much more damage than the one the Autobots have. The remains of Unicron are finally shown and then the Decepticons attack Ocean City only to discover that the Autobots have an energon tower which activates during the battle. The energon tower destroys all the Terrorcons and causes pain for the Decepticons.
Optimus and Wheeljack embark on a journey to find the AllSpark, the source of Cybertronian life, leaving the other Autobots to hunt down the missing Decepticons Shockwave and Starscream. Meanwhile, at the bottom of Earth's ocean, Megatron is revived and possessed by Unicron, intending to destroy Cybertron.
In Season 1, Starscream betrays and tries to kill Megatron in the first episode. Megatron learns about this soon after and kills Starscream in the season finale. In Season 2, a battle between Autobots and Decepticons destroys the Allspark, but Starscream is resurrected by a shard of the Allspark that had been embedded on his forehead.
Part one is the first-season finale, the twenty-sixth episode (production #126), and part two is the second season opener, the twenty-seventh episode (production #128).
