Meadows Shopping Center (often called "The Meadows") is an enclosed shopping center in Terre Haute, Indiana, United States. It opened in 1956 as an open-air shopping center and was enclosed in a 1982–1983 renovation.
State Road 331 runs from State Road 25 north of Rochester via Bourbon, Bremen and Mishawaka to State Road 23 just north of the Indiana Toll Road (Interstate 80/Interstate 90). The SR 331 designation northward from the St. Joseph Valley Parkway ( US 20 ) is prescribed by state law, [ 2 ] as are the locations of the intersections within this section.
An 1824 traveler encountered a single bison near the modern location of the preserve and shot it. Bison were extirpated from Indiana by 1830. [4] Twenty-three American bison were introduced to the Kankakee Sands in October of 2016. The bison are from the Wind Cave National Park. [5] Bison were indigenous to Indiana until exterminated by 1790. [6]

Big Lake is in southern Noble County, surrounding the natural lake of the same name. Its southern edge is the Whitley County boundary. Indiana State Road 109 forms the eastern edge of the community; it leads north 4 miles (6 km) to Wolf Lake and south 8 miles (13 km) to Columbia City.
