The History of Port Colborne High School dates back to 1920, when the town of Port Colborne became a focal point of many new industries. The arrival of the International Nickel Company of Canada in 1918, the prospering businesses of Canada Furnace, Maple Leaf Mills and Canada Cement along with the building of the fourth Welland Canal brought many new residents and their families to the town.
Lakeshore Catholic High School is a high school located in Port Colborne, just north of the eastern edge of Lake Erie, in Ontario, Canada.It is part of the Niagara Catholic District School Board, and competes with students from communities in Fort Erie, Wainfleet, Dunnville, Dain city, and Port Colborne.

Niagara was under an Ontario Nurses Association (ONA) censure from February 2003 until December 2010. According to an Ontario Nurses Association press release in June 2007, censuring is ONA's nationwide public reproach of a health agency due to the negative impact on staff and patient care, of poor labour relations and administrative practices.
