St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, established in 1897, is one of the oldest in the city of Phoenix, Arizona. It consists of 52 acres (210,000 m 2 ), 45 of which are developed. Before 1969, the cemetery was run by the Order of St. Francis, under the Diocese of Tucson .
The now abandoned structure was built in 1889 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places, reference: #86001369 on June 19, 1986. It was also known as the Alamo Hotel, St. Francis Hotel and the Golden West Hotel. It is located in 27 E. Monroe St. The Steinegger Lodging House was demolished on July 13, 2020. [17]
