The first set of regulations “for the Office of keeping the Library” were then formed in 1582. Little is known of the administration before the late sixteenth century. Dr Jessica Pearsall Gardner (born July 1971) is an English academic librarian who has been the University librarian of the University of Cambridge since April 2017. She is the second woman to hold the position, after Anne Jarvis (2009–16). [1] [2] [3] Gardner is a Fellow of Selwyn College. [4]
