Boruto wakes up and manages to stop Momoshiki from taking Kawaki away. Boruto apologizes while Sasuke approaches Naruto, who fell unconscious. Kurama talks to Naruto inside his mind for their final moments and the latter says that they should stick together in the afterlife as well.
In order not to lose Kawaki, Boruto has to run after him while the sensors monitor his chakra. Code eventually finds Kawaki, and Boruto fights him using Karma with Momoshiki's thousands of years of experience. However, Momoshiki takes over Boruto's body, forcing Kawaki to kill him in front of Naruto.

Kawaki later confides to Eida that he wishes Momoshiki's vessel were a stranger instead of Boruto. Eida's true power, Omnipotence, activates, rewriting everyone's memories to believe Kawaki is Naruto's son and Boruto a traitor. Kawaki forces Eida to lie, claiming Boruto killed Naruto.
Ku appears once again to provoke and attack Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki. Meanwhile, Ohnoki prepares for a fight to the death in order to stop Ku from doing any more harm, joining Boruto eventually. Naruto also leads a group of ninja to the Hidden Stone to protect their comrades. Before Ku finishes Mitsuki, Ohnoki confronts him.
