Bebe Schweppe, Founder, grew up in Augusta, Georgia, and started dancing at the age of 7 at Georgia Dance Theatre under Frankie Levy. At the age of eleven she was invited by Robert Joffrey to study in New York on a full scholarship. She studied at the Kirov from 1991 to 1997, during which time she also participated in summer programs at the Joffrey Ballet and The Royal Ballet. Michele joined American Ballet Theatre's Studio Company in 1997.
