U.S. Route 45 (US 45) in the state of Illinois is a major north–south U.S. Highway that runs from the Brookport Bridge over the Ohio River at Brookport north through rural sections of eastern Illinois and then through the suburbs of Chicago to the Wisconsin state line east of Antioch.
US 30 was then concurrent with current IL 31 (then called US 430) north to IL 38 in Geneva and kept the 1926 routing westward from Geneva. The old US 30 through Chicago became US 330 . In the Fox River Valley, US 430 was created and ran north to Richmond from Geneva.
U.S. Route 67 (US 67) is a component of the United States Numbered Highway System that connects Presidio, Texas, to Sabula, Iowa.In Illinois, it serves the western region of the state known as Forgottonia, named for the lack of regional transportation and infrastructure projects.
In 1935, IL 31 was superseded by US 24 while IL 43 was superseded by parts of IL 122 and IL 120. In 1939, a part of Illinois Route 10 (IL 10) moved its western terminus from Decatur to Keokuk, Iowa.
