Devil May Cry 5 -Before the Nightmare- (角川スニーカー文庫) is a prequel novel that takes places before Devil May Cry 5 and leads up to beginning of the game. It was written by the game's writer, Bingo Morihashi. The novel was released on March 1, 2019 in Japan, days before Devil May Cry 5 was released. [8]
