Renegade is a wooden roller coaster at Valleyfair in Shakopee, Minnesota, that was designed by Great Coasters International. [1] It was one of the first coasters built by Great Coasters International to use their Millennium Flyer trains, which are designed to give a smoother ride.
Valleyfair opened on May 25, 1976, featuring 20 rides and attractions [1] on 26 acres (110,000 m 2), with the roller coaster High Roller being the main attraction. The carousel in the park came from Excelsior Amusement Park which was closed in 1973. It is the oldest ride in the park.
