[1] Membership is about 650 families, mostly (although no longer entirely) Jewish. [2] The par-72 18-hole golf course was designed by Harold Paddock and built in 1928.
The club opened 128 years ago in 1897 as The Field Club, founded by several St. Louis sportsmen who wanted a place for golf and other leisure activities.
