Pine Valley Mountain Wilderness is a 50,232-acre (203.28 km 2) wilderness area located in the Dixie National Forest in the U.S. state of Utah.It is the fourth-largest wilderness area located entirely within the state (following the High Uintas Wilderness, Zion Wilderness, and Cedar Mountain Wilderness).
The Pine Valley Mountains are a mountain range in Washington County, Utah, United States, spanning the county north of the city of St. George. [1] The highest point in the range is Signal Peak at 10,365 feet (3,159 m).
Pine Valley is a census-designated place in north-central Washington County, Utah, United States that lies approximately 45 minutes north of the county seat, St. George. It is located at the head of the Santa Clara River in the Pine Valley Mountains, and was settled in 1859. The population was 186 at the 2010 census.
Pine Valley is about a 50-mile (80 km) long valley. The valley narrows in the south to about 3 miles (4.8 km) wide, [4] where Pine Valley Wash originates. The valley is a north-south valley, but the southern 10 miles (16 km) turns southeasterly, paralleling a mountain ridgeline stretch of the Indian Springs Range bordered to the west.
Camp Pushmataha is no longer a council camp and is owned by the City of Citronelle. With a reservation from the city, Scout troops are welcome to camp there. It is a primitive camping facility.
