Capital FC is an American soccer team based in Salem, Oregon, United States.Although founded in 2008 as part of the development system for the Portland Timbers USSF D2 organization, beginning in 2011 they were part of the development system for the Major League Soccer franchise of the same name until 2022.
Capital joined a partnership with Goiás state club Cristalina Futebol Clube in August 2011, and adopted the name Capital/Cristalina. They changed the name back to Capital CF in the end of the year. Between 2017 and 2019, the team had a partnership with Clube Desportivo Futebol Universidade de Brasília and used the name Capital/UNB. [4]
