Loveless is an American rock band consisting of Julian Comeau (vocalist/producer). The band formed in 2020 and signed with BMG and Rise Records on February 22, 2023. [1] [2]The band released their debut album, Loveless I, as independent artists on June 4, 2021, with 12 original songs and one cover of "Exile" by Taylor Swift.
There are also three new tunes, all co-written by Loveless and her producer-husband Emory Gordy Jr.: "Santa Train," "Christmas Day at My House," and "Bluegrass, White Snow," the latter of which is supported by vocals from Dolly Parton and Ricky Skaggs. There is an instrumental track on the album, "Carol of the Bells."
"I Try to Think About Elvis" is a song written by Gary Burr, and recorded by American country music artist Patty Loveless. It was released in July 1994 as the first single from her album When Fallen Angels Fly. American Aquarium covered the song on their 2021 album Slappers, Bangers, and Certified Twangers: Vol 1.
In its original form, the song had a much slower tempo than the one recorded by Loveless. Tony Brown, one of her producers at the time, decided to speed up the tempo for the arrangement she recorded. The song charted for 26 weeks on the Billboard Hot Country Singles and Tracks chart, reaching No. 1 during the week of March 10, 1990.
