Chandigarh University (CU) is a private university located in Mohali, India. The university was established on 10 July 2012 by an act of Punjab State Legislature . [ 1 ] It is recognized by University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) with the right to confer degrees as per Section 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956 .

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET), formerly Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a standardised test in India conducted by the National Testing Agency at various levels—CUET (UG), [1] CUET (PG), [2] and CUET (PhD), [3] for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate programmes in Central Universities and other participating institutes. On 24 August 2019, the Kala Shah Kaku campus of the university was inaugurated which is known as GCU KSK campus. The campus is spread over 370 acres, able to house 25,000 students, 1,250 teachers and 650 staff members. 22 hostels are available for accommodation. [11] On 24 September 2020, the new campus was formally opened to students.
