Jacó Beach in 2007. Jacó has an area of 141.11 km² [4] and an elevation of 7 metres. [1]Jacó lies between several mountains, and is neighbored by the beaches of Herradura Bay to the North, and Playa Hermosa to the South (not to be confused with another beach by the same name, but located in Guanacaste).

Galveston Bay (/ ˈ ɡ æ l v ɪ s t ən / GAL-vis-tən) is a bay in the western Gulf of Mexico along the upper coast of Texas.It is the seventh-largest estuary in the United States, [2] and the largest of seven major estuaries along the Texas Gulf Coast.
The Texas City area includes Texas City and La Marque and surrounding communities. [18] Until recently this area and Galveston together were treated by the federal government as a metro area distinct from Houston. [19] The area's prosperity revolves to a great degree around the Port of Texas City and the heavy industry around it. [20]
The terms surfcasting or beachcasting refer more specifically to surf fishing from the beach by casting into the surf at or near the shoreline. With few exceptions, surf fishing is done in saltwater.
