Ustad Zakir Hussain (born 9 March 1951) is an Indian tabla player, composer, percussionist, music producer and film actor. He is the eldest son of tabla player Alla Rakha . [ 1 ] He is widely considered as one of the greatest tabla players of all time.
He has been featured as a performing artiste on the 2009 Grammy Award-winning album Global Drum Project, Remember Shakti, Masters of Percussion and Summit. He collaborates with various classical artists for fusion concerts. [2]
