Season of Mists is a 1990–1991 American eight-part comic and the fourth collection of issues in the DC Comics' The Sandman series. It collects issues #21–28. It was written by Neil Gaiman; illustrated by Kelley Jones, Mike Dringenberg, Malcolm Jones III, Matt Wagner, Dick Giordano, George Pratt, and P. Craig Russell; coloured by Steve Oliff and Daniel Vozzo; and lettered by Todd Klein.
In the mid 1970s, she moved to Norfolk and began to work on longer fiction, which culminated – in 1984 – with the publication of A Season of Mists, her first novel. Woodhouse is the author of numerous short-stories, many of which were published in 19 magazine in the 1970s, and 9 novels, published between 1984 and 2000.
Jill Thompson briefly depicted the characters in her graphic novel Death: At Death's Door, which retold the events of "Season of Mists" from Death's perspective. In 2005, the writer/artist later produced a manga -style graphic novel starring the characters, titled The Dead Boy Detectives .
