The Bodyguard is a 1992 American romantic thriller drama film directed by Mick Jackson, [5] written by Lawrence Kasdan, and starring Kevin Costner, Whitney Houston (in her movie acting debut), Gary Kemp, Bill Cobbs, and Ralph Waite.
