    The difference here is that Thyer is currently attempting to re-launch the Flying Models brand (including the plans) since Carstens Publications ceased trading. It would be a shame to scupper someone who is genuinely trying to save a model plans service (well I think it would be a shame anyway).

    If you go to Outerzone (www.outerzone.co.uk) and select "Advanced Search", then select Year ">1979" and Year "<1991", enter "Flying Models" in the Keyword and "appears in field (select) Publisher" the search produces 28 plans, maybe yours is one of these. If not maybe your recollection of th date is wrong, try widening the range.

    Good Morning ! 20 years and a few months ago, as I was shopping in the now, long gone Harding Mall in Nashville, I found a copy of the latest Flying Models magazine (November 1997 issue). It featured the Akro-Knat family of fliers, designed by Michael Chattin. "Wow, this looks like fun" said I, and it was off to the cashier.
