Six television channels, namely STV-US, CSB News, Channel 1, Diganta Television, Islamic TV, and Channel 16, have been taken off air. Bangladesh has four state-owned television stations, of which only three broadcast on terrestrial television, which are BTV Dhaka, BTV Chittagong, and Sangsad Television.
After Bangladesh's independence, the station was rebranded as BTV and was the only major station until 1996. It is relayed nationwide via its terrestrial relay stations and formerly via BTV's satellite channel, BTV World. BTV Dhaka is a free-to-air television channel. [105]
The series is inspired from a true incident of 2013, when a police officer Mahfuzur Rahman & his wife Swapna Rahman were murdered by their own drug addicted daughter Oishee Rahman at their Chamelibagh resident in Dhaka. [3] It is the first ever real-life crime television series of Bangladesh. [4]
Ekattor TV (Bengali: একাত্তর টিভি; lit. ' seventy-one tv ', in reference to the 1971 War) [3] is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable news television channel owned by the Meghna Group of Industries, [4] commencing transmissions on 21 June 2012, as Bangladesh's first news-oriented television channel broadcasting in full HD.
In December 2011, the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission granted "Deepto Bangla TV" a license to broadcast. [6] The channel commenced transmissions as Deepto TV on 18 November 2015, and later aired the first and second episodes of Turkish drama series Muhteşem Yüzyıl, which helped with the channel's skyrocketing viewership.
On 19 Jun 2021, the official trailer for the series was released on Hoichoi's YouTube channel. [11] All the episodes of season 1 was released on June 25, 2021. Season 2 was released 2 years later on Hoichoi on 20 April 2023. The series received wide response from the audience.
