The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA; Filipino: Pangasiwaan ng Paliparang Pandaigdig ng Maynila) is a government-owned and controlled corporation and agency under the Department of Transportation of the Philippines responsible for the management of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) formerly Manila International Airport.
The terminal can accommodate 2-3 million passengers per year, greater than the old terminal, which can accommodate about 1.5 million passengers. [3] The terminal has a total area of about 12,000 square metres (130,000 sq ft), including the main building, drop-off area, ticketing booths, and a 2,000 square metres (22,000 sq ft) parking area.
In aviation, a standard terminal arrival route (STAR) is a published flight procedure followed by aircraft on an instrument flight rules (IFR) flight plan just before reaching a destination airport. A STAR is an air traffic control (ATC)-coded IFR arrival route established for application to arriving IFR aircraft destined for certain airports.
