On the Big Island of Abaco is Marsh Harbour, the Abacos' commercial hub and The Bahamas' third-largest city, plus the resort area of Treasure Cay. Both have airports. Both have airports. Elbow Cay is located about 4 miles (6.4 kilometres) east of Marsh Harbour on Great Abaco Island. Most visitors fly into Marsh Harbour and take the ferry to either Hope Town at the Northern end of Elbow Cay or White Sound, a mid-island harbour and settlement developed in 1960. At the Southern end of the island is Tahiti Beach near Doros Cove.
Great Guana Cay is an islet in The Bahamas. It is a long, narrow islet, 7 miles (11 km) long. [1] It is in the centre of the Abaco Islands and is near Gumelemi Cay. It is about 8 miles from Marsh Harbour. Approximately 150 people live on the island, mostly along the five and a half mile long stretch of beach.
Walker's Cay is the northernmost island in the Bahamas, part of the North Abaco district. Once a popular sport fishing location, the island was left deserted after 2004, following severe hurricane damage. The island is currently undergoing renovation under new owner Carl Allen, and celebrated the grand reopening of its marina in 2021. [1]
The airport has an elevation of 6 ft (1.8 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway, designated 09/27, that has an asphalt surface measuring 1,859 m × 30 m (6,100 ft × 100 ft). [ 2 ] In 2006, the old runway was converted into a taxiway after the new 6,100-foot-long (1,859 m) runway opened.
Walker's Cay National Park is a marine national park north of Walker's Cay in North Abaco, the Bahamas. The park was established in 2002, and has an area of 3,840 acres (16 km 2). [2] The park's marine environment has a barrier reef, which is used for underwater diving [2] [3] and snorkelling. [4]

Hope Town is one of the districts of The Bahamas, on the Abaco islands as well as a small village on Elbow Cay, located in Abaco. The area had a population of 458 in 2010. [1] Golf carts are the district's main mode of transportation, while most of the supplies for the area are brought in by barge each week.
