Monsta X (Korean: 몬스타엑스; stylized in all caps) is a South Korean boy group formed through the reality survival program No.Mercy under Starship Entertainment.The group is composed of six members: Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney, and I.M.
Lee Min-hyuk was born in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea on November 3, 1993. Shownu X Hyungwon (Korean: 셔누 X 형원) is the first official sub-unit of South Korean boy group Monsta X. Formed in 2023, the duo is composed of two Monsta X members: Shownu and Hyungwon . They debuted with the extended play The Unseen on July 25, 2023.
In November 2021, as part of Monsta X's promotional campaign for traditional Korean culture, Hyungwon and Minhyuk participated in a video narration for the YouTube series Kimchi Universe 3, jointly produced by Daesang Jonggajib and World Kimchi Research Institute together with Professor Seo Kyung-duk of Sungshin Women's University.
