This is a partial list of golf courses designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, individually and as partners in the design firm Coore & Crenshaw. The duo has been designing golf courses as partners since 1986. [1] The list is sorted by country, and then course. Contribution code OD denotes original design; R denotes courses reconstructed
Scottsdale National Golf Club now consists of two 18-hole courses and a nine-hole course. The original course, called Mine Shaft, is a par 72 spread across 290 acres (1.2 km2) designed by Jay Morrish and Dick Bailey. The second course, called The Other Course is a par-72 links course designed by Jackson Kahn Design. [6]
Landscape craftsmen from Tonga were brought to Scottsdale to create the tropical landscape surrounding the hotel. [3] The Phoenician was built at a cost of over $300 million. [ 6 ] The resort opened for business on October 1, 1988, [ 7 ] The hotel initially had 604 rooms, 132 casitas, a VIP suite and a presidential suite.
TPC Scottsdale is a 36-hole golf complex in the southwestern United States, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, northeast of Phoenix. Opened 38 years ago in 1986, the resort is part of the Tournament Players Club network of golf courses operated by the PGA Tour. The Stadium Course has been home to the tour's annual Phoenix Open since 1987.
It was awarded Golf Digest’s award for the “Best New Private Course of 1996”, and, since then, the course has consistently been ranked among the best golf courses in America. [ 2 ] Estancia Club is a 7,146-yard (6,534 m) par 72 course, with a course rating of 73.7 and a slope rating of 137 [ 3 ]
