You may apply online with MiChildSupport, or you may print, complete and mail the IV-D Child Support Services Application/Referral - DHS-1201 form. If you or your children have never received public assistance and you do not already have a case open, you can apply for child support services.

MiChildSupport allows individuals to apply for child support, view an existing case, and make child support payments online. Those who have an established order may interact with Friend of the Court staff via two-way communication in MiChildSupport if the county where their case is located uses this feature.
A payer who pays the MiSDU directly should clearly identify the case number with the payment. Do not send cash through the mail. Information regarding a support account is available through the MiSDU or online through MiCase. A party may also call the office that has the support order.
