The company ceased operation on December 27, 2011, with the closing of its last property, the Westlake Village Theaters, which was reopened as a Cinépolis .

AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (doing business as AMC Theatres, originally an abbreviation for American Multi-Cinema; often referred to simply as AMC and known in some countries as AMC Cinemas or AMC Multi-Cinemas) is an American-Chinese movie theater chain founded in Kansas City, Missouri, and now headquartered in Leawood, Kansas.
Both of these closed in 2011. The former Rogers store was partially demolished and replaced with a Carmike Cinemas movie theater in November 2012, while the former Castner Knott partially became Electronic Express in late 2014 and Bed Bath & Beyond in 2015.
