Of course this is not to be confused with wet vs. dry in fuel injected applications where a wet intake means that both fuel and air flow through the manifold, typically in TBI where the injectors are in the throttle body. A dry manifold means that only air flows through the runners and the fuel is injected down stream near the ports in the head ...
The simplest way to upgrade your trucks air intake is to install a high-flow air filter. The normal filter element in an F-150 or Super Duty is very good at filtering air without requiring any maintenance, but it's also restrictive. After market filters will flow more air to your engine. There are two main varieties: oiled and dry.
