The Yamaha YAS-209 uses two front-firing speakers, each of which is composed of a pair of 4.6cm woofers and a 2.5cm tweeter. In addition, there is 50W of built-in amplification for each speaker, so the soundbar has plenty of power. The included front-ported subwoofer has a side-firing 6.5-inch cone and 100W of built-in amplification.
The Yamaha MusicCast BAR 400, which is also known as the YAS-408, is the company's latest two-channel soundbar and wireless subwoofer combination. It doesn’t support any of the immersive audio formats, but does include DTS Virtual:X which is designed to add more depth to a 2.1-channel system. As the name suggests, the BAR 400 also supports ...
The True X system we review here consists of the SR-X40A soundbar (£549), SW-X100A wireless subwoofer (£299) and a pair of the WS-X1A wireless surround speakers (£149 each). The total package deal comes to £999, but you can buy each of the elements separately as priced above. Note that the 4.1.2 stated channel configuration represents left ...
The Yamaha C30A is a competent performer with a good sprinkling of features and connections. The Yamaha SR-C30A’s compact size is a big selling point if you are short of space or have a small TV panel. We would prefer a bit more refinement to the soundbar casing for a £269 spend, something which Sony achieved with its HT-S400.

As the YAS-203 is designed to hit a price point and competitive position within the existing market, the choice of materials in the construction of the Soundbar and Subwoofer are what you would expect to find. The Soundbar is made from plastic and is extruded to form a nicely designed, slightly curved, main body that measures 886 x 79 x 121mm ...
38. Jan 17, 2021. #1. Recently bought a Yamaha Yas 209 soundbar which is connected to my Samsung UE48H6400 tv. The soundbar is connected by ARC and was working without issue but isn't now connecting to the TV, the built in Alexander works. My cat has a habit of jumping onto my tv stand which is where the soundbar is.
HDMI In with 4K Passthrough. Dolby Digital Plus. Absolute max budget is £350 so i'm not expecting anything amazing. I have found a few already but they all have good reviews and bad reviews depending on where you look - LG SN7CY, Denon DHT-S517, JBL Bar 5.0, Yamaha YAS-209. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The YAS-109 costs £299 and the YAS-209 will set you back £399. Both models come with Alexa voice assistant integration, so losing the included remote down the back of the sofa is no longer a worry as a simple voice command will enable the necessary adjustments to be made. Users can vocally adjust the volume, mute and power down the speaker ...
The soundbar has the feel and construction of a quality product and a weight that suggests there is plenty of power inside its curved lines. The YAS-105 measures 890 x 53 x 131mm (WxHxD) and weighs in at 4kg and, given the width of the soundbar, you can use it with some fairly large screen sizes. It comes in a choice of black or silver and has ...
