And for people who disagree about firefox, you shouldn't even be using Windows in the first place) Chrome has nice features but other browsers quickly follow behind it. That's my opinion and intake of browsers. (Don't use tor unless you absolutely need to- if so; I am concerned)
Vivaldi was one of the worse performing chromium browsers. If you for some reason despise chromium based browsers your best bet is the Mercury browser, which is the fastest firefox based browser available. EDIT: Just found and tested the Floorp browser. It's faster than Mercury and uses less ram as well. 6.
If you're going to use a chromium based browser, use Edge. It has better memory management than Chrome. If you actually want a better browsing experience, use Firefox. Firefox + Ublock Origin is going to be the smoothest, most ad-free experience possible now. Reply reply.
Use Edge with Ublock Origin addon and it should be good. I also have Firefox with Ublock Origin and NoScript addon and use that sometimes. Feels pretty solid for when viewing websites. Rest of browsers are based on Chromium, so basically same thing in performance. The Edge version probably more optimized for Windows.
Windows 11 is wonky it's well known. Some popular options include Google Chrome, Opera GX, Microsoft Edge, Brave browser, Mozilla Firefox and others. It's a good idea to try a few different browsers to see which one is most comfortable for you. In the end, the best browser for you is the one that meets your needs and provides the features you ...
If you use Windows, imo Edge is the best because it's well integrated into Windows 10/11 and it has efficiency mode that kicks in to avoid issues/performance loss when playing games. The only 2 browsers that i know of that have these 2 capabilities are edge and vivaldi. Switching workspaces in edge is slow unfortunately, and Vivaldi seems a bit broken. i get https errors for well known sites like tomshardware. reloading fixes it, but it's just annoying.
Microsoft Edge. Without a doubt, Edge. Ticks all your boxes, and it's built into Windows 11. Edge. Naver Whale Browser. Edge is damn good and possibly the best but Naver uses less resources and is super fast. Firefox. I recommend Google Chrome. It's fast, minimal, and has the best compatibility and sync.
16.7 runs per mintue - Google Chrome - x64. 21.0 runs per minute - Google Chrome - x32. 43.4 runs per minute - Edge - arm64. 46.0 runs per minute - FireFox - arm64. 46.4 runs per minute - Chromium - arm64. So, Chromium is the fastest, but FireFox works great and Chromium wouldn't let Netflix play a movie for me, so FireFox wins.
If you're on Windows: Edge. If you're on MacOS: Safari. The most battery-efficient are terminal-based browsers: Links, Lynx, Browsh. Try also Pale Moon or Otter Browser, which are more lightweight. Also try disabling JS for less battery usage. From the full-blown browsers choose Opera with its battery saver feature.
