My recommendation is to maintain salinity at a natural level. If the organisms in the aquarium are from brackish environments with lower salinity, or from the Red Sea with higher salinity, selecting something other than S=35 may make good sense. Otherwise, I suggest targeting a salinity of S=35 (specific gravity = 1.0264; conductivity = 53 mS/cm).

I have a Seapora 50 and 20 long on order that SHOULD be here this week. From everything I have read and seen they are quality aquariums. They are built by Aquarium masters. I do not trust Aqueon tanks anymore. There’s a reason petco does the dollar a gallon sale…. They are cheap with thin glass and horrible silicone jobs.

Three overflow weirs empty down the back of tank with three returns drilled into the bottom of each (one 2-inch and two ¾ inch pipes). Two 2-inch return pipes feed water back to the tank which empties into the top of the aquarium. The tank is accessible through an aquarium maintenance room behind it. Unfortunately space is pretty tight in there.
