Alan Albert Freeman, known professionally as Alan A. Freeman (27 September 1920 – 15 March 1985) [1] was an English record producer, remembered for being Petula Clark's producer from 1949 until 1963, when his role was taken over by Tony Hatch. Freeman founded the independent Polygon label and worked for its successor labels, Pye Nixa and Pye.

Robert Thomas Freeman (June 13, 1940 [1] – January 23, 2017) [2] was an American rock, soul and R&B singer, songwriter and record producer from San Francisco, [3] best known for his two Top Ten hits, the first in 1958 on Josie Records called "Do You Want to Dance" and the second in 1964 for Autumn Records, "C'mon and Swim".
In 1994 Freeman reunited with Benoit for The Benoit/Freeman Project. Freeman and his manager, Andi Howard, formed Peak Records in 1994. In 1998 he collaborated with guitarist Craig Chaquico of Starship for the album From the Redwoods to the Rockies. A record producer and arranger, Freeman also plays bass guitar, keyboards, and drums.
Freeman ran County Records as a sideline while working for the railway post office. In 1965, he started a companion business, County Sales, to provide a mail-order retail outlet for his County Records releases and other hard-to-find titles. This enabled him to quit the railway job and focus on music full-time.
