There are three images side-by-side on that page wrapped in a scrollable div. Now that this "max-width" parameter has been set, the third of these images is displayed below the other two. How can I make these three images display side-by-side again, even if they go off the side of the page (thus the scrollbar)?

By default, thumbnail images on Wikipedia have a width of 220 pixels (px) if the image's wikitext does not have an explicitly defined size. This is the width determined by default that is used by anonymous visitors and users who have not customized their preferences.

I haven't used the gallery tag when editing, but it doesn't look like you can have a caption that spans two (or more) images in the gallery. Any or none of these options may be specified to control the size of the image. In the case of images with captions, if the image is already smaller than the requested size, then the image retains its original size (it is not enlarged). In the case of images without captions, the image will be enlarged or reduced to match the requested size.
