U.N. Spacy Roundel. Super Dimension Fortress Macross (Japanese: 超時空要塞マクロス, Hepburn: Chōjikū Yōsai Makurosu, lit.) is an anime television series from 1982. According to story creator Shoji Kawamori, [1] it depicts "a love triangle against the backdrop of great battles" during the first Human-alien war.
Humanity proceeds to attempt to rebuild this marvel, but political conflicts centered around the Macross - coupled with proposals for a one-world government - result in a global war. After 10 years, the 'Unification Wars' are finally over, the new United Nations government is in power, with the UN Spacy as their military arm.
The film begins in medias res with the space fortress SDF-1 Macross trying to evade the Zentradi at the edge of the Solar System. The Macross houses an entire city with tens of thousands of civilians who are cut off from Earth, after it had executed a space fold on the first day of the Earth/Zentradi war - taking the city section of South Ataria Island with it.
In the Macross continuity he became an admiral as well as commander of the U.N. Spacy after the battle against Boddole Zer. He survives the Macross series to become U.N. Representative in 2014, and retires from the Spacy as a full Admiral. In Macross, he married Miho Global in March 2003.
