KY 1247 splits from US 27 acutely shortly before KY 328 does; the latter diverges at an orthogonal intersection whose west leg is the east end of KY 3276. KY 328 immediately has a short concurrency with KY 1247—the former route follows the north–south axis of the latter—then continues east and crosses Caney Creek.
