Cross Mountain is located in northwestern Bexar County. It is bordered by the city of San Antonio to the east and the CDP of Scenic Oaks to the north. Downtown San Antonio is 22 miles (35 km) to the southeast. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 6.7 square miles (17.4 km 2), all land. [4]
