Beneteau or Bénéteau (French pronunciation:) is a French sail and motorboat manufacturer, with production facilities in France and in the United States. [1] The company is a large and recognized boat builder, with its holding company (Groupe Beneteau) now also holding other prestigious brands, such as Jeanneau and its multihull subsidiary Lagoon in 1995.

The Platu 25 (formerly Beneteau 25) is a sailing boat designed by Farr Yacht Design led by Bruce Farr with the first boat being built by McDell Marine in New Zealand in the early 1990s. It became a class recognised by the International Sailing Federation in November 2006.
The boat has a draft of 5.58 ft (1.70 m) with the standard keel and 6.92 ft (2.11 m) with the optional deep draft keel. [ 1 ] [ 3 ] [ 5 ] The boat was built with engines of 55 to 78 hp (41 to 58 kW), but typical was a Westerbeke diesel engine of 63 hp (47 kW) for docking and manoeuvring.

The Beneteau Cyclades 50.5 and Cyclades 50.4 are a series of French sailboats that was designed by Berret-Racoupeau as cruisers, primarily aimed at the yacht charter market and first built in 2008. The series is named for the Greek island chain .
