Naperville (/ ˈ n eɪ p ər ˌ v ɪ l / NAY-pər-vil) is a city in DuPage and Will counties in the U.S. state of Illinois.It is a southwestern suburb of Chicago located 28 miles (45 km) west of the city on the DuPage River.
Steve Chirico (born April 15, 1960) [1] is an American politician and the former Mayor of Naperville, Illinois. [2] He was elected as George Pradel's successor on April 7, 2015, being sworn in on May 3, 2015. [3] He is a past member of the Naperville City Council, defeating fellow city Council member Doug Krause.

Naperville Township is one of nine townships in DuPage County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 104,765 and it contained 41,338 housing units. [2]
Naperville Community Unit School District 203 serves central and northern Naperville as well as portions of the neighboring Lisle and Bolingbrook. [1] The oldest District 203 building still in use is Ellsworth Elementary, constructed in 1928, [2] while the newest is the Ann Reid Early Childhood Center, opened in 2010.
The Naperville City Council established the Naperville Historic District in 1986. [ 3 ] In 2019, North Central College announced their plans to purchase and demolish the P. E. Kroehler mansion, owned by Little Friends, for the purpose of rezoning and redeveloping the property with new academic buildings. [ 4 ]
