The Imperials is an American Christian music group that has been active for over 55 years. Originating as a southern gospel quartet, the innovative group would become pioneers of contemporary Christian music in the 1960s.
Gary McSpadden (January 26, 1943 – April 15, 2020) was an American pastor, singer, songwriter, record producer, television host and motivational speaker. He is best remembered for his early years with influential gospel group The Imperials. Smith spent four years with that group, recording four albums and one live video.
