Loganville High School (LHS) is located in Walton County, Georgia, United States. Loganville is 35 miles (56 km) east of Atlanta and 38 miles (61 km) west of Athens. The school, with a unique architecture featuring three circular buildings, underwent extensive renovations completed in early 2013. The school's mascot is the cedar tree. In 2013, the cedar tree mascot, Rooty, was featured in a mini-series on Hulu entitled Behind the Mask. In 2024, the mascot was redesigned and given a new name, Shredder.
The present Livonia High School was established in Livonia in 1915. [3] The following year, 1916, this school was combined to also include all of the students from Valverda and Dreyfus schools. The present Livonia High building was built in 1936. It was originally a two-story brick building. The second floor was lost to a fire in 1971.
