The Kimbell Art Museum in Fort Worth, Texas, hosts an art collection as well as traveling art exhibitions, educational programs and an extensive research library. Its initial artwork came from the private collection of Kay and Velma Kimbell, who also provided funds for a new building to house it.

Byrne has served as the General Contractor for Louis Kahn's Kimbell Art Museum. [3] The Kimbell Art Museum won the first Build America Award from the Associated General Contractors of America in 1972 for the "innovative construction techniques" used in the museum [4] and the American Institute of Architects 25-Year Award.
His work has been inspired by architects such as Louis I. Kahn, especially his Salk Institute and the Kimbell Art Museum, and Kenzo Tange. [8] Mitchell's architectural projects, include residential and commercial buildings in different parts of the world, such as Melbourne, Hamptons, Seattle, and Malibu. [3]
The exhibit is organized by the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte and The Museum Box in collaboration with the Kimbell, the Minneapolis Museum of Art and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.

Four Figures on a Step is an oil on canvas painting by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo, created c. 1655-1660, now held in the Kimbell Art Museum, which bought it from the heirs of Charles Russell Feldman in 1984. [1] Possibly showing a bawd, it is rare in the artist's oeuvre and largely unprecedented in contemporary Spanish art.
