Bangladesh has four state-owned television stations, of which only three broadcast on terrestrial television, which are BTV Dhaka, BTV Chittagong, and Sangsad Television. In total, there are 50 television channels in Bangladesh, with 40 currently on air.
GTV received its license to broadcast from the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission, along with several other privately owned Bangladeshi television channels, on 20 October 2009. [4] Later, on 19 May 2023 at 18:00 , the official transmissions of the channel were inaugurated at the International Convention City Basundhara.
