The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 was the 22nd edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Radiotelevisión Española (RTVE). The contest took place on 16 November 2024 at Caja Mágica in Madrid, Spain
Junior Songfestival 2024 was the twenty-first edition of Junior Songfestival, the national final format developed by AVROTROS to select Dutch entries for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The event was held on 21 September 2024 at the RTM Stage in Rotterdam, [5] and was hosted by Matheu and Stefania.
TG4 confirmed its intention to participate in the 2024 contest on 5 March 2024, also revealing that it would once again use the national selection format Junior Eurovision Éire 2024, co-produced with Adare Productions, to select its artist, and opened the submission process for interested artists aged between nine and fourteen.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest logo used between 2008 and 2014. The former generic logo was introduced for the 2008 contest in Limassol, [ 49 ] to create a consistent visual identity. Each year of the contest, the host country creates a sub-theme which is usually accompanied and expressed with a sub-logo and slogan.
The accompanying theme art for 2024, named "The Eurovision Lights", was unveiled on 14 December. Designed by Stockholm-based agencies Uncut and Bold Scandinavia, it was based on simple, linear gradients inspired by vertical lines found on auroras and sound equalisers , and was built with adaptability across different formats taken into account.

Since then, the number of entries has fluctuated, peaking at twenty in 2018 and dropping to a low of twelve in 2012, 2013 and 2020.
