The University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts (CLA) is the largest college of the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.Established in 1868, the College of Liberal Arts offers more than 65 majors and 70 minors to its more than 13,600 undergraduate students, as well as more than two dozen majors to its 1,500 graduate students.
The College of Science and Engineering (CSE) is one of the colleges of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On July 1, 2010, the college was officially renamed from the Institute of Technology (IT). 1964 - The University of Minnesota Board of Regents approves the establishment of the college on July 10, 1964. 1965 - On September 1, CBS begins operations. Dr. Richard Caldecott is the founding dean. 1967 - CBS grants the first bachelor of science degrees to graduates in May. 1970 - The Board of Regents approves the first CBS constitution.
Living alumni total more than 70,000. The 2017 Academic Ranking of World Universities listed CEHD as the top public school of education in the world. U.S. News & World Report in its 2016 Best Grad School rankings rated University of Minnesota's CEHD No. 11 among public institutions and tied for twenty-first overall. [1]
