Fuzzy clustering (also referred to as soft clustering or soft k-means) is a form of clustering in which each data point can belong to more than one cluster.. Clustering or cluster analysis involves assigning data points to clusters such that items in the same cluster are as similar as possible, while items belonging to different clusters are as dissimilar as possible.
Variations of k-means often include such optimizations as choosing the best of multiple runs, but also restricting the centroids to members of the data set (k-medoids), choosing medians (k-medians clustering), choosing the initial centers less randomly (k-means++) or allowing a fuzzy cluster assignment (fuzzy c-means).
A cluster in general is a group or bunch of several discrete items that are close to each other. The cluster diagram figures a cluster, such as a network diagram figures a network, a flow diagram a process or movement of objects, and a tree diagram an abstract tree. But all these diagrams can be considered interconnected: A network diagram can ...
fuzzy soft multisets (Alkhazaleh and Salleh, 2012) pythagorean fuzzy set (Yager , 2013), picture fuzzy set (Cuong, 2013), spherical fuzzy set (Mahmood, 2018). Although applications of fuzzy sets theory and its extension are vast in our real life problem, there is a single book which covers all the extensions of fuzzy set theory.
The average silhouette of the data is another useful criterion for assessing the natural number of clusters. The silhouette of a data instance is a measure of how closely it is matched to data within its cluster and how loosely it is matched to data of the neighboring cluster, i.e., the cluster whose average distance from the datum is lowest. Fuzzy c-means; FLAME clustering (Fuzzy clustering by Local Approximation of MEmberships): define clusters in the dense parts of a dataset and perform cluster assignment solely based on the neighborhood relationships among objects; KHOPCA clustering algorithm: a local clustering algorithm, which produces hierarchical multi-hop clusters in static ...

c is an involution, which means that c(c(a)) = a for each a ∈ [0,1] c is a strong negator (aka fuzzy complement). A function c satisfying axioms c1 and c3 has at least one fixpoint a * with c(a *) = a *, and if axiom c2 is fulfilled as well there is exactly one such fixpoint. For the standard negator c(x) = 1-x the unique fixpoint is a * = 0. ...
